Swindle is a adventurous and mysterious book. Griffin and Ben find a Babe Ruth baseball card, and try to sell it. They find out it’s a “fake” card when they sell it. The offer was 100 bucks. Griffin accepts the offer… and later they find out it’s valuable. Now, they try to steal it back……. and go through many situations….

Recommended for 8 - 12 year olds.

The BFG is a really good book. A girl named Sophie can’t fall asleep. She looks out the window, and she sees a tall figure… it can’t be… a GIANT?! The Giant takes Sophie with him and reveals why he had to take her; because she saw him and reveals his name: The BFG (Big Friendly Giant). There are other giants, and they eat humans. The BFG doesn’t. When Sophie overhears that the other giants will try to eat humans from England, she tries to stop him. Read this to find out what happens in this awesome adventure!

Recommended for 8 - 12.

The Homework Machine is an excellent read. I loved it. What would you do if you never had to homework? Well, four kids use a homework machine to cheat…. and they go through ups and downs, pros and cons… and when a teacher gives them a test….

the Mysterious Benedict Society is an excellent book. There’s an ad on a newspaper and it says “Are you a gifted child looking for special opportunities?” Kids take tests but only 4 kids made it through. The 4 kids have to go on a special mission to stop a guy who’s sending subliminal messages to control the world. They  have to go to the building he founded, and stop this guy. Read this book! Excellent adventure & mysterious book.

Recommended for 9 - 14.

The Quest Begins was enjoyable. It was a bit boring in the beginning, but as you read on it gets better. Three bears are seperated from their families and they go on a journey… Well, that’s basically it because I don’t want to give away any spoilers.

Marked was a excellent book. It’s about a girl named Zoey and in her world, there has always been vampryes (yes they’re spelled that way :)). To become a vamprye, you have to marked… and Zoey becomes marked. But, Zoey doesn’t know if she might like this new life… when she goes into the House of Night (for fledglings in training) she becomes friends right away, and everyone notices her “mark” is different… and it means she has more powers…

The Lightning Thief is about a guy named Percy Jackson. And he just found out that Greek Mythology is real… and he is the son of a god… Well, Zeus’s master lightning bolt has been stolen an he thinks it’s… *PERCY*. Percy goes on a journey to show he is NOT the thief and get the master lightning bolt and return it.

Recommend for 10 - 13 year olds.

Letters From Camp is an excellent book. These 6 kids go to Camp Harmony because they are fighting with each a lot… but they find out Camp Harmony is not what is seems like… They suspect a lot of things. This is told in notes, letters, and other documents. All will be revealed, if you actually READ the book!

Regarding the Fountain was excellent. It was a mysterious book. It is told in letters, newspapers, notes, memos and other documents. It takes place in Dry Creek (it was Spring Creek 30 years ago but the water kinda dried up…) Well, the principal of the Dry Creek Middle School wants a new fountain because it’s leaking… well, he contacts Florence Waters who is fixing the fountain, but making it fancier and more unique that he offers. Then, these fifth graders unlock a scandal and the answer to why Dry Creek became dried up…… and it might surprise you.

Recommend for 8 - 12 year olds.

This book was totally awesome. A “kittypet,” Rusty (a cat that is a pet) goes into the forest, and finds out there are Warriors in 4 clans, Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan, and Windclan. They learn to fight and hunt for food. Kittypets are not supposed to go inside the clans, but since Thunderclan is desperate for more apprentices, Bluestar, the leader of Thunderclan invites Rusty to join. He joins and you have to read to find out. This is a suspenseful story, with lots of adventure. I love this and cat lovers, imaginative people, and people who like dark stories will like this.

Recommended for– 10 - 13 year olds
